On-going project on Virtual Reality and Virtual Production, with Unreal Engine. I’m working on a detailed digital copy of myself and exploring different ways to develop and use it in creating content. Project evokes thoughts about identity, presence, and ownership of ones persona.
Fog Revolver (2024) Gameplay capture 04:26. Fog revolver is a collaboration between the musician Applethief / Jyri Pirinen and the video artist Saana Inari. It reflects the feelings and reactions of an individual on our current sociopolitical environment. On artistic level this work marks new chapter for both: musician experimenting with new ways to produce vocals, and for the director for first time creating moving image via virtual production.
Non-Botanical Garden (2020), a 360°-environment, as part of a research project on how to use XR technologies in fine arts context, as an artist who’s medium would be drawing, sculpture, painting. Within the project I produced VR sculptures, drawings in 360°, scanned 3D-elements etc, and wrote an introduction and a guide aimed for artists.

Self Portrait with a Deer (2011) 11 min The video draws a story about a mental dilemma, the protagonist is trying to escape by adopting the roles and forms of different animals. After several failures, she has to accept her own limitations in order to be able to continue her journey. Pulu Verkossa - Pigeon in a Net (2016) A phone conversation between two countries and generations. The mother is provoking her busy daughter into a conversation that escalates when unheard facts and prejudices are getting happily mixed. At the end, the mother dreams of a white Christmas and the daughter wants to move to the Amazon. Screenings: Ann Arbor Film Festival 2018, Stuttgarter Film Winter 2018, Acud Macht Neu Berlin.
Simpanssi (2014) 06:42 min Is it possible to change a person into something by giving her a name? Simpanssi - Chimpanzee, is a movement based short film, with a digital scenery. Flucht aus der Sonntagschule (2013) 5 min Short notes on how to deal with the weight of history. Movement based short film travels silently through scenic landscapes in Germany and Finland. Sparrow Flock - Varpusparvi (2012) 1 min How much does the amount of animals affect on how we see them, how do we feel about them. An individual sparrow may appear beautiful but having tens of them may give you quite a contrary impression. Installations, Sculptures
Insekt (2015) is looking into rapid, sudden movements, attempting to find the poetry within. Interactive video installation asks you a question: Do you feel like an insect? If an exhibition visitor feels the relation to bugs and butterflies, they may walk through the dark exhibition space under a bright spotlight of a street lamp. Their picture is projected to the wall, among other night flies and bugs.
Beograd (2014) freezes the motion, erases and covers the marks of life from the picture and then, suddenly, reveals a glimpse of reality. Audiovisual installation is a study about the city of Belgrade, describing different sides of it, architecture, communication, traffic, humans... Installation includes structures and objects that are reflecting and repeating geometrical shapes and colors that can either be found on the exhibition space or in the video. 2-channel verical video with separated audio 9-10 min
Because we are blind… (2012) An attempt to transform an old GDR-garage into a holy space. I stripped the room from everything distracting, painted the walls and the floor with a mixture of crushed coal and vegetable oil, and build a floating dock with a kneeling bench at the end. A bird sculpture, made from wire coated with raw wool, was hang from the sealing.
